Rayna Brachmann

Family Law Specialist

Rayna Brachmann has been a practicing attorney since 2003 and has been certified as a Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of Nevada since 2013. With an impressive career spanning 18 years in family law, Rayna brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her clients.

Before joining Anderson Keuscher Brachmann, Rayna served as a Deputy District Attorney in Washoe County, where she practiced child welfare/dependency law. Prior to that, she practiced family law in a small firm. Her legal journey began as a paralegal and legal assistant before attending law school, and she also served as a law clerk at the Washoe County District Court, Family Division for the Honorable Deborah Schumacher.

Rayna approaches her cases from a problem-solving perspective, believing that lawyers add the most value to family law when their goal is solving problems rather than creating issues for families. While she is a strong and effective advocate for her clients, she also strives to consider the case from all perspectives to find the best possible solutions. Rayna is well-respected in the legal community for her thorough preparation, professional interactions with courts and colleagues, and her effective advocacy in court when required.

Rayna is experienced in all areas of family law, including divorce, custody, paternity, guardianship, adoption, termination of parental rights, child welfare/dependency law, and drafting marital agreements such as prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and marital settlement agreements.

In addition to her litigation work, Rayna is a skilled mediator who enjoys helping families find amicable solutions to end relationships, particularly when co-parenting is involved. She served on the Family Law Executive Council for the State Bar of Nevada from 2013 to 2021, where she helped organize continuing legal education and collaborated on amicus briefs to the Nevada Supreme Court for issues impacting family law in Nevada.

Rayna attended Lewis and Clark School of Law, graduating in 2003 as a member of the Cornelius Honor Society. She also served as a research assistant for professors in the areas of Constitutional Law, Contracts, and Jurisprudence. Prior to law school, she graduated from the University of Nevada Reno in 1997 with a B.A. in Political Science, earning a spot on the Dean’s List in 1996 and 1997.

Outside of her legal practice, Rayna enjoys spending time outdoors, walking her dog, hiking, gardening, camping, and listening to live music. She also enjoys playing Scrabble, reading, cooking, attending local arts events, and traveling. Her diverse interests and commitment to her community further showcase her dedication and well-rounded approach to both her personal and professional life.
